Actress. Born in Switzerland, she was most noted for her roles as the French peasant woman in "Battleground" (1949) and as Mathilde Mattieu in "An American in Paris" (1951). Her other credits included "Bolero" (1934), "Champagne Waltz" (1937), "Reunion in France" (1942), "Thunderbirds" (1952) and "To Catch a Thief" (1955).
