Glenda Ann Willis Burgess, age 63, of Cordova, entered into rest November 2, 2011. She was born January 6, 1948, in Haleyville, AL.
Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2011 from 6-9PM at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 11AM. Burial will be in Union Grove Church Cemetery. Reverend Jerry Richie and Reverend Lawson Clark will officiate.
She is survived by her son, Frank (Sandra) Burgess; daughters, Tina Mayes, Tammy Morton, Tonya (Michael) Wade; brothers, Donald (Kathy) Willis, David (Gina) Willis, Clyde (Lydia) Willis; and special friend, Rhonda Eldred. She was "Nanny" to 11 grandchildren, Kandise McGinty, Erica Clark, Garrette Huff, Anthony Burgess, Kenyotta Mayes, Kyle Wade, Joshua Wade, Brandon Wade, Samantha Burgess, Gabriel Spier, Emilie Burgess, and 2 great grandchildren, Xavier Chavis, Zander Chavis.
She was preceded in death by her father, Orland "Red" Willis; and mother, Oleane Bell.
