BREAZEALE Ramsay D. Breazeale of Jacksonville, Florida died August 11, 2004, after a brief illness. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina on October 11, 1946, to Lilla J. Breazeale and the late William C. Breazeale. He grew up in Asheville, North Carolina. Ramsay graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in biology. He was senior vice president and senior trust officer for First Guaranty Bank and formerly senior vice president of Bank of America Private Bank. Ramsay was a former member of the Board of Directors of Reinhold Corporation. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Brooks Health Foundation and chaired the Annual Golf Classic for the past two years. He was a faithful member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, serving as a trustee, an usher, and a children's Sunday School teacher. In addition to his mother, Ramsay is survived by his devoted wife, Sydna Fern (Elrod) Breazeale [2nd wife]; their sons, Clay and Stephen; his daughters, Kelly (Mike) Hanson and Kristi (Gordon) Carpenter; his sisters, Jane Somerville and Betsy (Ron) Stills; and his dog, Deacon. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday (today) in the Christian Activity Center at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Boulevard. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14th, at Lakewood United Methodist Church with Reverend Bill Sherman and Reverend George Spencer officiating.
