John C. Russell, 82, of Paris died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at his residence.
His wife, Betty M. Miller Russell, survives. They were married on Jan. 7, 1950.
Visitation and funeral arrangements will be announced by McKinney/Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, Ky.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Liberty.
McEvoy Funeral Home announced his death and provided the following information.
A Casey County, Ky., native, Russell was born April 19, 1930 in Liberty, a son of the late John W. and Lucy Ann Murphy Russell.
Russell attended Whitlock and Van Dyke churches of Christ. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he served from 1948-1951 and was a corporal.
He leaves one daughter: Jane R. Coddington of Tustin, Calif.; four sons: James L. (Darla) Russell, Jack C. (Anne) Russell and Billy R. (Rosemary) Russell, all of Paris, and Jeffery A. (Peggy) Russell of Cottage Grove; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Five sisters and six brothers also preceded him in death.
