He was born in Delaware on June 8, 1931, to the late Arthur Allston, Jr. and Mahala Mason Allston. His wife, Helen Virginia Allston, died December 29, 2012.
Mr. Allston was a 1949 graduate of Caroline High School in Denton. He served in the U.S. Army. He had worked for the U.S. Postal Service starting in 1952, becoming Postmaster in Riverdale, MD. He retired in 1986.
