Randy Douglas Perry, 55, of Abilene, passed away Monday, February 1, 2010, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 PM Friday at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday at Hawley Cemetery with Clyde Kieschnick officiating, under the direction of North's Funeral Home.
Randy was born February 9, 1954 in Abilene, Texas, to Richard and Frances (Hewitt) Perry. He attended Abilene High School and his primary professions were mechanic and truck driver.
His favorite pastime included hunting, fishing, and softball, and most weekends he could be found working on a car or grilling his "famous" steaks or brisket.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and one niece.
He is survived by his loving companion, Barbara Knudson of Abilene; two daughters- Melissa Garcia and husband Stephen of Edmond, Oklahoma and Crystal Childress and husband Seth of Hawley, Texas; two sons- Devin and Ryan Perry of Hawley; sister Janelle "Jan" Thomas and husband Lee of Abilene; two brothers - Willie "Bill" and Danny Perry of Abilene; six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
