In 1851 at Windham Township, Norfolk County, Canada West, (p. 75) Eliud Nickerson is a farmer, born in the US, age 60, E. Methodist, located on Lot 30, Conc. 1, Windham Twp. His wife, Wilmot, 59, was born in the US. They have a son Eliud, 21 and daughter, Delilah, 19 living with them. They lived not far from a Samuel Miller.

In the 1861 census at Windham Township, Norfolk County, Canada West, (Div. 1, p. 2), Eliud Nickerson, farmer is now listed as only 64, born in the US, a Wesleyan Methodist. His wife Wilmot, 66 was born in the US. With them are Eliud Nickerson, farmer, age 30, born in Upper Canada, with his wife, Jane, age 26 born in Canada West. They have children, Margaret E., 7, D. Manfred, 5, A.O., 3. George E., 1, and a Rachel Bowman, born in the US, 25.

In the 1871 census at Windham Township, Norfolk County, Ontario, is Eliud Nickerson, 70 (correct age would be about 82), born U. States (Div. 2, p. 11). He is listed as a Baptist of Scotch origin.[He is incorrectly given in the index as "Eliudson" Nickerson.

Eliud Nickerson of Hamilton Twp., Northumberland Co., Ont., petitioned for land on 9 April 1816 late of Hamilton now of Grantham Twp., Lincoln Co., Upper Canada.

Reid gives Elihud of Uxbridge. OC 31 July 1817. Uxbridge Township is in Ontario County north of Whitby, Ont. there is an Alexander Nickerson at Uxbridge in 1871 Census, Dist 049, Sub. A, p. 1 He is age 47.

The 1877 Atlas of Norfolk Co., Windham Township, shows E. Nickerson with the N 1/2 of lot 3, Conc. I. Nearby is land owned by Jacob Miller, Samuel Miller, S.S. Miller, Stephen Miller and Joseph Miller. Are any of these related to Wilmot Miller, wife of Eliud, and Harriet Miller, first wife of Levi Nickerson?
