Spc. Wilbel A. Robles Santa, 25, of Juncos, Puerto Rico, died April 6 in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit in Zabul, Afghanistan with a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga. Among his awards are the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Among those surviving Wilbel are his wife and two young children (ages 2 and 3); his mother, Maribel Santa-Rivera and his brother, Wilberto. Also killed were SSG Christopher M. Ward and Spc Delfin M. Santos Jr.
