Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Hortense Terhaar, age 92, who died Sunday at her home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation with family and friends will be one hour prior to the service in the Narthex of St. Boniface Church. Arrangements were entrusted with the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring.

Hortense was born in Holdingford, MN to Nicholas and Amanda (Thull) Terhaar. She was a nurse in both World War II and the Korean War. Hortense retired from the St. Cloud Veterans Hospital where she was a nurse and an instructor. She was a member of St. Boniface Parish, St. Cloud Hospital Nurses Association and the Veterans Hospital Nurses Association. Hortense appreciated her involvement with St. Boniface Parish prayer groups.

Survivors include her siblings, Dolores Manthey, Jeanette Mischke Andrews, James Terhaar and Claire Stock; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mary Louise Andrews, Fred Terhaar, Doraine Terhaar, Jerry Terhaar and Dick Terhaar.
