Mrs. Eddie Phillips
Services for Mrs. Eddie Lou Beatty Phillips, 80, of
Route 6, Switzer, will be conducted at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel at 11:
a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Robert Browning. Burial will be in the family lot, at
Switzer Cemetery.
She died 6:30 a.m. Saturday at King's Daughters' Memorial
Hospital following a long illness. A native of Mercer County, she was born
December 26, 1894. She was the widow of Will J. Phillips and was a member of
the North Fork Baptist Church.
Surviving are, one son, Charles W. Phillips,
Frankfort; one daughter, Mrs. Nannie Shelton, Frankfort; two sisters, Mrs. Laura
Medley, Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and Mrs. Mary Engler, Boyle County, two
grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Bearer will be Louis Cunningham,
Steve Cunningham, Berry Scott Cunningham, George J. Newman, Bruce Hockensmith
and Frank Howe. Friends, may call after 2 p.m. today.
