Revolutionary War militia officer. She was elected captain of a women's militia company formed in Pepperell, Massachusetts, to protect the town after the town's men answered the call to arms on April 19, 1775, and marched to Lexington and Concord.
She is credited with the capture of a Tory militia officer.
