Matthew Dean Hayes, 30, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at the family residence. He was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School Class of 1998 where he played football. He was a big Tennessee Vols fan.

He was the son of the late Dewey Hayes and was also the grandson of the late Charlie and Lora Hayes and Roy and Bertie Colley.

He was a wonderful husband of Amy Pikering Hayes and is also survived by his mother, Muriel Dean Hayes of Cleveland; sister, Missy Collins and husband Bo Collins; two nieces, Kealey Collins and Miranda Swafford.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2010 at Eastside Church of Christ with Minister Jeff Archey, Minister Bill Maynard and Minister Robert McConnell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Chris Seiber, Nick Chastain, Nathan Chastain, Chad Sherk, Chad Ingram and Michael Gilley will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dee Moffett, Jake Parish, Jon Hooker, P.D. Doss and Gary Swafford.

His family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
