John Thomas "Toby" Brown, 81, of Waynesburg, KY died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Stanford, KY. He was born May 5, 1931 in McKinney, KY to the late Steven Willis and Dora Naylor Brown. He was the widower of Leona Jenkins Brown. He was a farmer and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Mike Brown (Marti) and Sammy Brown (Crystal) both of Waynesburg, KY; his fiancé, Mate Young ; a brother, Albert Vernon Brown (Ellen) of McKinney, KY; two sisters, Emma King and Catherine Owens (James) both of McKinney, KY; four grandchildren, Melissa Marsh (Jim), Morgan Brown, Nick Brown (Crystal) and Misti Viands (Jeromy); a step grandson, Chris Cole; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley Toddie Brown, Ernest Brown and a sister, Mamie Privett.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 5-8 pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Stanford, funeral service will be 2 pm Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Spurlin Funeral Home. Reverend Chris Taylor will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery,
