Born in Ohio City, Colo., on March 19, 1910, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Turcek Sr. He came to Kenosha as a young boy with his parents, and was educated in local schools.
Mr. Turcek was employed in Milwaukee, and with the Simmons Co., and since 1936, with Macwhyte Co.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Church, the Catholic Slovak Jednota, Macwhyte 25 Year Club, Kenosha Gem and Mineral Society, Macwh.yte Credit Union Club, and U.A.W. Local 960, at Macwhyte.
Survivors include his wife, the former Greta Swonek; a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Joan) Peltier, Kenosha; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Antionette) Gogola, Kenosha, and Mrs. Pauline Stacko, Chicago; and a brother, Raymond Turcek, Kenosha.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Turcek.
