Pioneer Resident of County Dies at County Hospital
L. P. Flint, the well-known pioneer of the central part of Brown county, died at the county hospital Sunday, the cause being dropsy. The deceased formerly lived in the vicinity of Ordway and Columbia, but removed to Aberdeen a number of years ago. He persisted in living alone in West Aberdeen, and for a long time had been considered very eccentric. Several weeks ago he was taken to the county hospital and under the good treatment received he rallied somewhat from a sickness with which he had suffered. About two weeks ago he left the hospital against the wishes of the superintendent, and after he had been out a short time, the authorities sent him back, where he could have the attention required by his condition. There had been hope for his recovery for several days. He was 72 years old. A daughter, Mrs. Anderson of Oelwein, Iowa, will arrive tonight to take charge of his body and arrange for the funeral.
