Helen G. Roper, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013 in her home.
She was born in Booneville, Arkansas to E.E. and Matilda (Barber) Adair.

She was a seamstress for both The Boston Store and J.C. Penny's. She also did custom sewing.
She was a member of Evangel Temple Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Hoyle Taylor and by one son, Don Taylor.

Funeral services will be 1:00Pm Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Survivors include her husband Charles Roper of the home, three daughters, Pat Galano of Fort Smith, AR; Barbara Elmore and her husband Jerald of Fort Smith, AR and Betty Beckman and her husband Fred of Fort Smith, AR; two sons, Wayne Taylor of Arkoma, OK and Richard Taylor of Fort Smith, AR; 14 grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Justin Cameron, Adam Shaffer, Kyp Matlock, Richard Galano, Doug Beckman and Tony Kershaw,

Honorary pallbearer is Jonathan Taylor.

The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the funeral home.
