Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie E. Bomar, 87, were to be held at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel at 4 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Robert Hinson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was to be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Bomar died in a Bonham hospital at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 1970. She had been in the hospital 36 hours after suffering a stroke at her home on East Market.
Mrs. Bomar was born Jan. 15, 1883, at Fairlie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Shield.
She married Walter W. Bomar Feb. 22, 1903. He preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1937.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Minnie Little of Ladonia, and a number of nieces and nephews including Mrs. Francile Hartson of Honey Grove.
Active pallbearers were to be Wash Underwood, Rayford Stroud, Lenny Henry, Lloyd Blair, Herbert Simmons and Newt Yarbrough.
