She grew up in North Carolina and she and Palmer Dark were married Dec.31,1930 at Siler City. They lived in Kansas City, Mo. after their marriage coming to Dodge City in 1934.
Mrs. Dark was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Sorosis Club and a life member of the Parent-Teacher Association.
Survivors include the widower; three sons, Palmer Jr. of Marion, Bill of Kinsley and Joe of St.Joseph,Mo; a sister, Leah Anderson of Raleigh, N.C. and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Orville Mason officiating.
A memorial fund was set up at First Baptist Church for Mrs. Dark's name. Hulpieu-Swaim was in charge of arrangements.
