Mary Belle Staton Ahrens 85, resident of Milan, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 6, 2013 at Bethesda North Hospital.

Mary was born in New Richmond, Ohio on January 24, 1928 to Sam and Mary Haas Staton. She was married to James Ahrens on June 29, 1946 until his death on September 12, 2006.

Their children are :
Gloria Clark of Cincinnati, OH, Sharon (Wayne) Morgan of Moores Hill, IN, Terry (Stacey) Ahrens of Dallas, TX, Marie (Ernie) Houle of New Hampshire, John (Gaby) Ahrens of Plano, TX, Kim (Dave) Snyder of Milan, IN , Keith (Holly) Ahrens of Arlington, TX, and Dona (Dave) Ahrens of Erlanger, KY.

She was blessed by many grandchildren:
Chuck Clark, Richard Clark, Michael Clark, Diana Sexton, Terri Baston, Brian Baston, Carla Morgan Flores, Chris Morgan, Amy Loichinger, Laura Snyder, Emily Snyder, Lauren Schoelkopf, Stephanie Ahrens, Angela Ahrens, Nick Abell, Michael Abell, Jennifer Abell, Jason Woods, Adam Ahrens, Sarah Ahrens, Alex Ahrens, and Katie Ahrens.

She also had a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well.

She is preceded in death by her husband, son - Albert Ahrens, grandson - Randy Baston and a great great granddaughter, Kiara Baston.

She was a homemaker that dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to church, swimming with the ladies at the Batesville YMCA, good friends and a good meal. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Aurora, 6060 Blair Rd, Aurora, Indiana.Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor William Secrest officiating.

Friends will be received from11:00am - 12:00 Noon, Tuesday prior to the service, also at the Church.

She will be laid to rest at Floral Hills in Taylor Mill, KY.

Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Aurora. Please call the office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.
