ETHEL NOREEN BARNETT, age 76 years of Prattville, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at Hillsdale Community Health Center in Hillsdale. She was born on October 29, 1936, in Hudson, the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Bloomer) Forbes. Ethel Married Elwood Barnett on April 2, 1955, in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2012. Ethel worked in several local restaurants as a cook. She enjoyed watching TV, her dog, "Sissy" and flowers and plants.
Surviving are three children; Christine Ann (Gary) Porter of Reading, Roberta Ann (Ricky) Miller of Camden and Richard Lee (Noreen) Barnett of Prattville, 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two brothers; Robert (Norma) Forbes of Hudson and Sam Forbes of Florida, one sister; Mary Jane Sheffer of Jackson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son; Leslie Gene Barnett, parents and brother; John Forbes.
Funeral Services for Ethel will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Charles D. Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Prattville Cemetery in Prattville. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family to help with funeral expenses.
