Vincent Wright 42, of Seabrook, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah of injuries sustained in a hit and run accident.
Funeral Services for Mr. Wright will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Friendship Holiness Church, Stuart Point. Burial will follow in the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 PM Friday, in the Joseph M. Wright Memorial Chapel of Marshel's Wright-Donaldson Home For Funerals.
He was the son of Lillian Wright Jackson and the late Luther Gillison, was born November 2, 1969, in Beaufort, South Carolina.
To many he was known as "Vin", to others "Vince". He received his education in the public schools of Beaufort County.
Vince was united in marriage to the former Miss Charlotte Capers. He later moved to North Carolina where he was affiliated with Victorious Praise Fellowship Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Camoleta Jackson; his grandfathers, Roosevelt Wright and Sandy Gillison, Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Francis Gillison; his mother-in-law, Joycestean Singleton; his aunts, Rosemary Singleton and Maggie Gillison Connelly and uncle, Julius Gillison.
