Francis was employed Henry J. Sleight Cement Company and then Ashton Ready Mix, both in Queensbury. At one time, he was a farmer in Hartford, Vermont.
Francis loved anything to do with heavy equipment machinery. His passion was watching machinery work and even collected all sorts of toy equipment for his home.
Francis died at the age of 85. His wife Jean (Beebe) passed away in 2001.
