Georgia Elizabeth Ray was born in Sayre, Oklahoma on January 25, 1919, and was called home by her Heavenly Father on April 4, 2013. Georgia was a woman of faith and strength, but the greatest of those was her love for others. Her greatest joy on earth was serving and caring for her family. She married Lester Ray in 1939 and together they had 2 children. Mom and Dad's house was always filled with love, laughter, family and friends. Georgia and Lester were members of Pleasant Terrace Baptist Church for over 60 years and served faithfully in the nursery department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Ray; seven sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her two children, Lester Ray Jr. and wife, Robin and Evelyn Ray LeBlanc and husband, Bob. Her seven grandchildren will have precious memories of times playing at Gran and Grammer's house. She was doubly blessed with 15 great-grandchildren. Georgia will be forever loved and cherished in the hearts of those to call her Mom, Grammer, family or friend. "Well done, good and faithful servant..." Matthew 25:21 Memorial services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Grove Hill Memorial Park, where family will also receive guests one hour prior at 11am inside the Grove Hill Funeral Home.
