Charles R. Chinn
Charles Robert Chinn, 85, Depauw, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehab – Harrison in Corydon.

Born June 15, 1927, at Corydon, he was the late Charles William and Rose E. Kellem Chinn.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired proprietor of Chinn Equipment Co. in Ramsey, a member of Milltown American Legion Post 332 and attended Unity Chapel United Methodist Church near Ramsey.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Frances M. Arnold; a sister, Bonita Arnold; a brother, William Chinn; and a grandson, Lynn Alan Howey.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Green Arnold; two sons, Larry L. and Robert A. Chinn, both of Ramsey; a daughter, Judith A. Howey of Salem; two stepsons, Richard Arnold of Corydon and Roger Arnold of Depauw; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Saturday, April 6, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 7, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.

Funeral: Sunday, April 7, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Woods Chapel Cemetery near Ramsey.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the Harrison County Community Foundation, in memory of Charles R. Chinn, to establish a scholarship.
