DIES IN CORTLAND
Miss Beatrice May Laun, 51, of 9 Vernon Dr. died late yesterday in Cortland Memorial Hospital following a long illness. She was born May 26, 1917, in Mohawk daughter of Carl F. and Hazel Green Laun. Her father died in January. She made her home with her mother in Cortland.
Miss Laun formerly resided in Liverpool and was a secretary
at Heston's Corp. of Syracuse. She was a member of
Grace Episcopal Church and Diana Court 54, Order of Amaranth
of Cortland. She was past worthy matron of Bona-Fide Chapter 567, Eastern Star, of Syracuse.
Besides her mother, she is survived by a brother, Paul
Laun of Oceanside, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Karlton (Helen)
Phelps of Cortland; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Monday at Grace
Episcopal Church with the Rev. James Wolfkiel Jr., rector, officiating. Interment will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p. m. Sunday at the Bush funeral home.
