Rev. Francis Asbury "Frank" Wing was born September 20, 1858, in Fairview, Illinois. He married Elizabeth S. Thompson on September 24, 1879. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. Frank was a minister. They moved to Creston, Iowa, in 1883. When he retired from the ministry they moved to a lovely area south of Woodburn, Iowa, in 1902, where he built a home for his family. All of the girls taught school in the surrounding areas.
Francis died on December 22, 1936, at Woodburn. Elizabeth was born in 1860 and died in 1939.
