Ruby Amora Alford was born on Saturday, November 25, 1911 in Hornbeck, LA. She passed away on Friday, April 05, 2013 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville,LA.

She was preceded in death by husband of 73 years, Cleo Alford; parents, Charlie and Amora Stewart Thaxton; great granddaughter, Rena Alford; great grandson, Eric Alford; daughter-in-law, Betty Alford; brothers, Troy, Leon, Tommie and Evon and sisters, Ana Bell Cohen, Jewel Brown, Velma Weldon and Kathleen Hardy.

She is survived by her six sons and five daughters-in-law; two daughters; three sisters; one sister-in-law of Florien, LA; thirty nine grandchildren; ninety three great grandchildren; twenty nine great great grandchildren; forty in laws; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
