George Sekadlo, 88, of 10309 Saxonburg Road, Two Rivers, died late Thursday
evening, Sept. 1, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 (sic) Monday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Mishicot. The Rev. Herbert Kesting will officiate with burial in Forest
View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Sekadlo was born March 9, 1895 at Stangelville, Kewaunee County. He was the
son of the late Frank and Anna Mach Sekadlo. Mr. Sekadlo o (sic) was educated
at Kewaunee Schools. He married Linda Arnemen on June 30, 1922, at St. Peter
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mishicot. He was a lifetime farmer and was employed
between 1942 and 1960 at Manitowoc Ship Yards, a Veteran of World War I, and
served as a bugler. Mr. Sekadlo was a member of the Manitowoc County Musicians
Union and a member of American Legion Band.
Survivors include one son, Roger Sekadlo of Greensboro, North Carolina, one
daughter, Mrs. Calvin (Elaine) Larsen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sisters and a
brother-in-law, Mrs. Josephine Yagle of Kewaunee, and Mrs. Jake (Evelyn) Ledvina
of Kewaunee. Also six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded
in death by one son, two sisters, and one brother.
Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday
and from noon until the time of service on Monday.

Marriage of George/Linda Sekadlo
The marriage of Miss Linda Arneman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Arneman of
Mishicot and George F. Sekadlo of Carlton, Kewaunee co., took place at St. Peter's
Lutheran church at Mishicot Tuesday, Rev. Zell officiating at the ceremony which
was attended by only members of the immediate families and a few intimate friends.
Miss Erna Schultz and Bernard Sekadlo and Miss Mayme Redeker and Wm. Meineke were
the attending couples. Little Ruth Zell was the flower girl. A reception at which
fifty invited guests were present was held at the home of the bride's parents
where a 6 o'clock dinner was served. The newlyweds left on a motor honeymoon to
Chicago and other cities and will return to make their home on a farm owned by the
groom in rural route 2.
Out of town guests present for the occasion included Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Arneman and
family, Mr. and Mrs. J. Jacobson,, Chicago; Major and Mrs. G.E. Arneman, Fort Sill,
Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. H. Arneman, Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Blahnik, Two Rivers; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sekadlo, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Sager,
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Yagel, Kewaunee.
