He fought in the No. Solomons, So. Phillipines, Marianas and Luzon Campaigns. He was awarded four Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart. He was a Christian by faith. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion in Higanis, MA. He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Buck, Lake Tapawingo, MO; granddaughter, Shelly Crane, Lake Lotowana, MO; and Evelyn Phillips.
