Paul Carlton Diehl was bom May 6,
1916 in Storm Lake, the son of Ralph
Carlton and Ruth Lillian (Thayer) Diehl.
He graduated from Hayes Consolidated
School and attended Buena Vista College
and Iowa State University.
On March 1, 1941 he married Golda
Nielsen at Ponca, Neb.'
Paul served with the U. S. Coast
Guard during World War II. He was a lifetime
member of First United Methodist
Church of Storm Lake, a past Lt Governor
of Kiwanis and a member of Kiwanis
Beavers of Storm Lake. He also was a.
member of Jewel Masonic Lodge #309
and Abu Bekr Shrine of Sioux City.
He was a.master gardener and took
great joy in sharing the fruits of his labor
with others.
