The death of Mrs. Allie Lipscomb, wife of Prof. William Lipscomb, occurred Saturday morning at 5 o'clock at the home of her bother, Thomas Hudson, in Neely 's Bend. Death ended a long period of suffering and took from earth a woman highly esteemed and widely known. Mrs. Lipscomb, who was Miss Hudson, taught near Franklin and made in her work as elsewhere, many warm friends. She was a devout member of the Christian Church, and her funeral will take place this morning from the Tenth-street Christian Church, with services by Prof. James E. Scobey and Dr. J. S. Ward.
