Conrad Walker Smith
Sept. 4, 1936 — April 6, 2013

Conrad Walker Smith, 76, of Lebanon passed away peacefully on Saturday in his home.

Conrad was born in Imperial, Calif. He was the youngest of five and the only son of Archie and Bernice (Strange) Smith.

Conrad served six years in the United States Air Force and later joined the United States Army where he retired as a staff sergeant.

Conrad loved his family and enjoyed traveling in his motor home.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Hazel Adkins, Sally Stark and Lola Estachio.

Conrad is survived by his sister Betty Baldwin of Washington; 10 children, Della Smith of Texas, Denise Smith, Bradley Smith and Allen Smith all of California, and Conrad A. Smith, Melissa Smith, Melinda Johnson, Mica Smith, Michele Barnett and Amanda Smith all of Oregon; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

At Conrad's request, no funeral will be held. A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Moose Lodge in Lebanon.

Conrad Walker Smith, 76, of Lebanon, died on April 6, 2013, in his home.

At his request, no funeral will be held. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on May 11 at the Moose Lodge in Lebanon.

He was born on Sept. 4, 1936, in Imperial, Calif., to Archie and Bernice (Strange) Smith.

He served six years in the U.S. Air Force and later joined the U.S. Army, where he retired as a staff sergeant.

He bought a permanent home in Lebanon in 2005.

He was governor of the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by sister Betty Baldwin, of Washington; children Della Smith, of Texas, Denise Smith, Bradley Smith, Allen Smith, all of California, Conrad A. Smith, Melissa Smith, Melinda Johnson, Mica Smith, Michele Barnett, and Amanda Smith, all of Oregon; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

His parents and sisters Hazel Adkins, Sally Stark, and Lola Estachio died before he did.
