Mrs. H.A. Jackson, Ex-Golf Champion

Pinehurst, N.C. May 2 - Mrs. H. Arnold Jackson, former women's amateur golf champion, died here today at Moore Memorial Hospital. She was the former Miss Katherine Harley. Her husband is board chairman of the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company of New York.

Mrs. Jackson, a resident of Village Green East here, and a former resident of Round Hill, Conn., won the United States Golf Association women's amateur gold medal in 1908 and in 1914. Among other national awards she received were the semi-final bronze medals of the association in 1903, 1904, and 1922. In 1914 she won the gold medal of the Women's Eastern Golf Association, and in 1917 she was champion of Women's Golf Association of Boston, a Massachusetts state group. She also won the gold medal of the Women's Metropolitan Golf Association, in 1921.

Mrs. Jackson and her husband were the donors of emergency service wings to the Greenwich, Conn., Hospital and to Moore Country Hospital here, as memorials to two sons.
