ALLEY, JOHN KENNETH SR. - age 75, of Andersonville, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Knoxville with his family by his side, after a year long battle with cancer. Mr. Alley was a member of Hillvale Baptist Church and he retired from Martin Marietta K-25 after 30 years of service. He was presently serving his second term as Anderson County Commissioner in District 3. Mr. Alley was preceded in death by his parents, James Oscar Alley and Mertie "Kick" Alley; and a brother Kyle Alley. Survivors: wife, of 55 years, Rosalie Alley of Andersonville; sons, John K Alley Jr., of Andersonville, Roger Alley and wife, Kelly, of Clinton, Mike Alley and wife, Stephanie, of Clinton; daughters, Kim Hutchinson and husband, Donnie of Clinton, Nancy Trent and husband, Barry of Andersonville, grandchildren, Travis, Jessica, Lacey, Jonathan, Jill, Brittany, Brandon, Josh, Ashley, Jack, and Isabella; great-grandchildren, sisters, Mary McConkey and husband, Don, of Halls, Pat Lawson and husband, Fred, of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Speedy Foust, of Heiskell. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with the Rev. Phillip Lollar officiating. A graveside service will follow at Norris Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to the Red Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
