James A. Markle Sr., age 90, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on March 30, 2013 at Maryland Masonic Homes in Cockeysville, MD.
Born in Edinboro, PA, he was the son of the late William Cramer and Alice Redmond Markle and husband of the late Audrey Mae Markle.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during WWII. He worked for Martin Marietta Corporation for a total of 40 years, 15 in material control and 25 in data processing. He volunteered extensively at Bel Air United Methodist Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Bel Air Lodge.

Mr. Markle is survived by his son, James A. Markle Jr. of Hampstead; daughters, Carol A. Hardy of Front Royal, VA and Joan L. Elloff of Bel Air; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
