Mrs. Baker worked for GTE for 20 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking for her family and needlework.
Surviving along with her husband are her sons, John R. Baker (wife: Lisa), of Grand Blanc, MI, Steven E. Baker III (wife: Leslie), of Westchester, CA; grandchildren, Noah Aden and Luke Elijah Baker, Liam Alexander and Arwen Sabrina Baker. Also surviving her brother, Francis Fleming, of Lafayette; and a sister, Mary Ellen Kalapach (husband: Milton), of Lafayette.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to a 2 PM service Saturday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, the Rev. Dr. J. Phillip Klinger officiating. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
