ANDREW G. PARKS.
Andrew G. Parks died at his resi­dence in Cass township, this county. December 28, 1893, aged 84 years, 4 months, and 25 days. Some days previous Mr. Parks was attacked with the grip, which, on account of his very old age, developed into pneumonia, and death ensued.
Mr. Parks was a native of this county. In 1832, he was married to Miss Margaret Apgar, of Huntingdon, county, New Jersey. To this union were born eleven children, all of whom are living but one, viz : Wm. A., and Mrs. Sarah McConahy, of Newton Hamilton, Mifflin county ; Mrs. Sophia A. Lucas, of Cambria county; Geo. A., and Mrs. Mary Stake, of Cass township ; Joseph A., of Clay township ; Mrs. Margaret J. Cornelius, who lived with her parents, her husband having been killed by an accident several years ago; Mrs. Lottie Lindsay, of Denison, Ohio ; Mrs. Effie Price, whose husband accidently shot himself in Kansas in 1878; and Mrs. Beckie A. Wyant;, of Henrietta, Blair county.
Deceased was a member of the Methodist church for more than sixty years, lived a life consistant with his profession, and died with the Christ­ian's hope of immortal blessedness.
Funeral and interment took place at Cornelius Chapel, in Cass township, Rev. Shumaker conducting the services, on Saturday, December 30, 1893.
