John Heslet, aged 86, died Saturday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Warren Landis, of Wabash County, six miles southwest of Andrews. Mr. Heslet had lived in Wabash County all his life.
Married Laura Dale in Wabash County Jan. 21, 1870.
Married Matilda J. Lee September 27, 1894 in Huntington County.
Surviving are four sons, Chester, Andrews, James, Illinois, Charles, Kansas City, and Homer, Wapakoneta, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Florence Hartle, Mrs. Jesse Coats, and Mrs. Catherine Moore, all of Marion; a sister, Mrs. T. L. Owens, living with Mrs. Landis; and a brother, Lewis B. Heslet, Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be held Monday at Mt. Hope Methodist Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Monument City.
