Perry Minard, 77, of 42 North Chestnut street, New Paltz, died yesterday in Kingston hospital after a long illness. For many years,he owned and operated a farm, and he later was employed by the Clintondale Cold Storage company.
Mr. Minard was born in the Town of New Paltz, June 9, 1884, son of the late Hiram W. and Frances Freer Minard. He was a member of the New Paltz Reformed church. His wife, the former Miss Florence Lyons, survives.
ALSO SURVIVING are a son, Alvah D. Minard, city; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Averyt [sic], Kingston, and Mrs. Stanton Babcock, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Burger, Newburgh, one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Garrett Wullschleger, of the Reformed church, will officiate at funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. in the Pine Funeral home, New Paltz. Interment will be in the New Paltz Rural cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow afternoon and night.
