Jim D. West Sr. 78 of Fort Smith, AR went home to be with his Lord Thursday, April 4, 2013. He was owner of Jimani Tool and a veteran of the Navy and the Korean War. He was an Elder and member of Coop Prairie Church in Mansfield, AR.
He was born January 19, 1935 in Breckenridge TX to George D. West and Teresa Oleta Kiser. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; four sons Steve Wilson of Arkoma, Tommy West of Fort Smith, Allan West of Fort Smith, Jimmy D. West Jr., of Fort Smith and three daughters; Teresa Burton of Greenwood, Debbie Hedges of Greenwood, Raylene Schrader of Ardmore,Ok: one brother Dick West of Burleson, TX, four sisters, Ann Guy, Sue Moorehead, Sherry Nelson, all of Breckenridge, TX and Enda West Wylie, TX; 17 grandchildren; 16 Great grandchildren; three great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Coop Prairie church in Mansfield, Ar. with burial at National Cemetery in Fort Smith at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Lewis Funeral home in Fort Smith, AR.
