The funeral for Mae V. Cason, 77, Aberdeen, will be at 1 p.m. today at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Chapel, 215 Fourth Ave. S.E. The Rev. Gerold Sevig will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park with Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St., in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family and Casketbearers are requested to meet by 12:30 p.m. at the church.

She died Monday, Oct. 24, 1994, at the Americana Healthcare Center.

Mae Vivian Anderson was born May 10, 1917, to Alto and Hilma (Polo) Anderson in Two Harbors, Minn. Her mother died when she was a young child and she was raised by her grandparents in the Frederick area. She graduated from Frederick High School.

She married Emery E. Cason on July 2, 1938, in Aberdeen. They lived at several locations, including Oakland, Calif., Bismarck, N.D., Huron and Aberdeen. She worked at J.C. Penney in the baby department for 20 years before her retirement. He died April 2, 1988. She became a resident of the Americana Healthcare Center in December 1990.

She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.

Survivors include one sister, Mabel Klatt of Vista, Calif.; two stepbrothers, Clifford Sumption of Aberdeen, and Frank Sumption of Bethlehem, Pa.; one stepsister, Mary Lou Simmons of Tacoma, Wash.; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sons.

Casketbearers will be Gordon Csson, Tom Malchow, Dale Groop, Wesley Swanson, Kenneth Swanson and David Swanson.

The organist will be Arliss Alberts, and the soloist will be Sheila Blomster. Ushter will be Richard Ratzlaff.
