Glen R. Carlson, 87, passed away Sept. 23, 2004.

Survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Carlson; children, Kevin (Sharon) Carlson of Pueblo West, Doug Carlson of Pueblo, Glen Ray (Patricia) Carlson of Pueblo and Patricia (John) Cullen of Greeley, Colo.; grandchildren, Cory (LauraGlen), Melissa and Sean Patrick Carlson, Eilis Cullen and Lori (Andrew) Crihfield; great-grandchildren, Cullen, Ceiran and Chase Crihfield; sisters, Ruth Kern and Margaret Spahr and their families; brothers-in-law, Eugene Angland of Yonkers, N.Y. and Daniel Lenihan of Kanturk, Ireland; cousins, Jim (Georgia) Peterson, Brandon and Leslie Peterson, all of Pueblo; family and friends in Marquette, Kan., and Pueblo.

Preceded in death by sister, Ida Sharkey; and grandson, Rory Carlson.

Glen was born to Sidney and Julia Carlson on March 30, 1917, in Clay Center, Kan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a hardworking man who retired in 1979 from the Wire Mill at CF&I after 40 years of service and from Arapahoe Stores as a meat cutter. Glen loved gardening and carpentry and was an avid Broncos fan.

Viewing at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at Christ The King Church, 1708 Horseshoe, with Monsignor Marvin Kapushion as celebrant. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
