Erica Jo Clark, 4, of Batavia, passed away at 4:20 pm April 1, 2013, in Batavia, when the vehicle she was riding in was struck by a train.
Erica was born on Feb. 12, 2009, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Waylon and Tara Lewman Clark.
She was in preschool at Cardinal Elementary School.
Erica was a people person and especially loved spending time with her ganny and taking care of her little sister, Jordan. She was an outdoor person and would have spent every hour in the park or riding her bicycle. She loved riding the motorcycle with her dad and playing with her Puppy Pal. Erica and her sister Callie shared everything and could not get enough time playing with their cousins.
Survivors include her parents of Batavia; one sister, Jordan Ann Clark; grandparents, Dale and Denise Clark of Ottumwa, Brent Lewman of Batavia and Ronda Lewman and Jeff
Parrish of Douds; great-grandparents, Vivian Clark of Batavia, Roland Davis of Eldon and Danny Showman of Martinsburg; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many more loving family and friends too numerous to mention.
She was preceded in death by her uncle, Brian Lewman; and great-grandparents, Ralph Clark, Gloria Davis, Norma Showman and Thomas and Edna Lewman.
A joint funeral service with her sister Callie will be at 1 pm Sunday at Grace Funeral Care in Batavia; with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Saturday at Grace Funeral Care in Batavia, where the family will be present for visitation from 4-7 pm.
