BLUEFIELD — Woodrow Newton Neal

BLUEFIELD — Woodrow Newton Neal, age 93, of PO Box 1353, Bluefield, W.Va., passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Westwood Nursing and Rehab in Bluefield, Va.

Born on April 15, 1919 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Jess and Estiline Hall Neal. He had been a lifelong resident of Mercer County and was a retired caretaker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Brewster Neal; and his brothers and sisters. He was the last surviving member of his family.

Survivors include: daughter: Wanda Sanders and husband Joseph, of Princeton; son-in-law: Cecil Gladwell, of North Carolina; grandchildren: Kristi Lynn Walters and husband Daniel, Cecil Leonard Gladwell, Jr.; and great-grandson: Charles Cecil Gladwell.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:00 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell with Pastor Dave Neal officiating.

Friends may call an hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 at Woodlawn Mausoleum.

Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, 3431 Coal Heritage Road (Bluewell), Bluefield, WV 24701 is serving the family.
