Jewell was born on Jan. 23, 1920, in Joplin, Mo., the daughter of the late Dan and Daisy (Brewer) Carrico. She was a homemaker. Jewell married Simon Hill December, 1936, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son Larry Hill; a grandson Bobby Hill; a sister Marie Whited, and a brother Frank Carrico.
She is survived by two sons,two daughters; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren;one great-great-grandchild; 3 sister-in-laws as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the Joplin area.
Services will be in Grants, N.M. at a later date.
