Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais and again from 11:30 Saturday until the 12:30 p.m. funeral services at Maternity BVM Catholic Church in Bourbonnais, where she was a member. Father Richard Pighini will officiate.
Cremations rites will be accorded, and interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood will be held later. Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
Lois was born Nov. 27, 1933, in Kankakee, the daughter of Robert and Josephine Blassage DeWeese. She worked as the international advertising coordinator for Burger Chef and was also a legal secretary. She was an outstanding cook, and she loved to read and watch movies. She also loved the ocean.
She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Arseneau, of Bourbonnais, whom she married Sept. 24, 1955, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, in Kankakee; one son and daughterin-law, Robert and Bonny Arseneau, of St. Michael, Minn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maribeth and Robert Hardy, of Lexington, S.C., and Valarie and Wayne Tassic, of Cape Coral, Fla.; six grandchildren. Derek Blanchette, Alex Blanchette, Morgan Arseneau, Daniel Hardy, Jacqueline Hardy and Sarah Hardy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bob and Ray DeWeese, and three sisters, Evadine Anderson, Edie Dandurand and Clare Belle McClain.
