Judy Ann Wiggins, of Merritt, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center in Grand Rapids. She was 72.
Judy was born January 8, 1941, in Rochester, Mich., to Francis and Georgia (Carpenter) Satchell. She married Frank Wiggins on June 15, 1957.
Judy enjoyed bowling and square dancing and was an avid reader. She loved cooking and baking, but especially loved babies and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Frank, and children: Steve (Jody) Wiggins of Merritt, Cathie (Larry) Shank of Merritt, Sandi King of Houghton Lake, Deanna (Brian) Cortright of Springport, and Rosemary (Ned) Storey of Falmouth; and a brother Terry Satchell of San Antonio, Texas.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; a son Frank (Butch) Wiggins; a great-grandson, Aaron J. Wiggins, and a sister, Karen LaRocque.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Young Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Shetenhelm officiating.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Burial will take place in the Butterfield Township Cemetery.
