Mrs. Zelma Odella Shirley Anderson was born January 11, 1922 to James Corbett and Clora Ellen Clark Shirley in Summer Shade, Kentucky.

Dell as she was affectionately called. She was a very giving person and free hearted to all. She would do without to give someone she felt needed it the most. Dell was a very loving, jolly, and devoted family member. At an early age she professed hope in Christ. Dell attended Summer Shade Public School and Rosewald High School in Lebanon, Kentucky.

She moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and was united in marriage to Albin Anderson. Who preceded her in death.

She owned and operated Harlem House Café on the corner of North and Senate Avenue for a number of years. She retired from Indiana University Medical Center. Dell was the 5th Child out of 12 siblings which have preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory 5 sisters and one brother…. Zella Burris of Indianapolis, Indiana, Magnolia Hayes of Edmonton, Kentucky, Myrtle Russell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mary L Love of Chicago, Illinois, George/Sally of Glasgow, Kentucky, Marjorie Hoskins of Chicago, Illinois and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dell said all her nieces and nephews were her children.
