Jerry Wayne Stevenson, 69, of Ardmore, AL, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at his home.


Jerry was born on Tuesday, September 28, 1943 in Ardmore, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Alton Stevenson and the late Alma King.


He was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and was a deacon at the Wooley Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, his church and church family, and especially his kids and grandkids. He loved his Super A Farmall tractor.


Surviving are his wife, Marie Tanner Stevenson; sons, Kevin Stevenson and Jody Stevenson; twin brother, Perry Stevenson and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Paige and David Posey, Courtney Pettus and A. J. Pettus; great-grandchild, Braylee Posey; honorary grandchildren, Leigh Bolling Dougherty, Drew Bolling, Erin Cornelison, Brooke Norton, Matthew Smith and Ella Christopher and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Wooley Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Boyles officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
