Cindy Brown Tucker, 61, of Conestoga, died Tuesday, April 2nd, at her home after a battle with cancer.

Born in Beaufort, SC, September 14, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Ned and Trannie Brown of Beaufort.

She was married for 38 years.

She graduated from Beaufort High School, received an undergraduate degree in psychology from University of South Carolina, and a Masters Degree in Counseling from East Tennessee State University.

She was a friend and ­companion to many of the ­residents of Willow Valley Manor Retirement Community and a volunteer counselor at the Columbia Pregnancy Center for over 12 years.

She was a member of Grace Church at Willow Valley.

Cindy was passionate about her love for the Lord, her family, making people feel deeply valued and being a mother to three of the most beautifully raised children in the world.

She was happiest when she was in nature, whether it was in the woods or back in her beloved hometown of Beaufort, SC.

She is survived by her three children, her first grandchild on the way, a brother, of Beaufort, SC; and a sister, also of Beaufort.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 6th, at Grace Church at Willow Valley.

A receiving line will be at 12:00 noon, with service to follow at 2:00 PM.
